SCREENING SCHOLARSHIP MEDIA FESTIVAL 2022
The Screening Scholarship Media Festival (SSMF) provides a creative, collaborative space to engage with diverse multimedia projects. We explore the affordances and challenges of multimodal representational strategies in research, and we interrogate their social implications. SSMF is a hybrid between a traditional academic conference and a film/media festival. We strive to bridge the gap between art and science by bringing together scholars, artists, educators, and activists.
As we continue to live through one of the most challenging times in the world’s recent history, CAMRA invites you to think through notions of PAUSE. We understand pause as mobility and immobility, as waiting, as rest and recuperation, but also as refusal, political strategy and action.
SSMF will take place between Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, 2022. The festival is free to attend, and open to the public.
Registration for the festival is open—please visit the link below. View the full schedule, including a list of panels and presenters, here.
